(Konstantin Grcic) There is something beautifully honest about this Jean Prouvé´s table — its construction (which is like that of a bridge), its material (sheet metal), its colour (black lacquer). Neither a trained architect nor an engineer, Prouvé was an ingenious craftsman, or a ”factory man”, as he preferred to call himself. Prouvé found satisfaction in the way he got bogged down with the simple day-to-day reality of things.
