House of inclusion — Japanese House Design

House of inclusion designed by FORM/Kouichi Kimura Architects, located in Shiga, Japan.
Here’s some text from the architect:
This house, located in a new residential area, is for a 30-something couple. Surrounded by other houses, the design goal was set up to block out the outside world while avoiding too much closure, as well as to provide rich and sensuous spaces.
First, a small patio and a path connected to it were laid out between the living or dining room and exterior. They are surrounded by a wall that blocks off the line of sight from outside. Planting and pond are laid out at the patio, so that the picturesque images of green and water are viewed from the rooms.
Enclosed by walls that create indirect light filling softly the entire room, the house presents sentimental scenes here and there. The living spaces and the life lived there are enveloped by green and light, creating an affectionate environment.

Glass Home Hangs — Japanese Home Design

Like a bird nest, Japanese Glass home designed by TNA Architects.
The contemporary, curved weekend house reaches off the hillside and around the trees, connecting to the other side. Inside, the house takes shape as an elongated floor plan, where one area of the home opens onto the other, separated by walls of glass. Apart from glass, the main material of choice for both the interior and exterior is wood. And true to this Japanese architect’s signature style, interiors are furnished with a minimal, modern edge. Yakisugi House — Japanese House Design

Yakisugi House designed by Terunobu Fujimori architect, located in Nagano, Japan.
The unique Yakisugi House in Nagano, Japan, blends modern design innovation with traditional Japanese architecture and a French inspiration, for a truly one-of-a-kind house design. For Yakisugi House, the inspiration came from the compact cave dwellings near the Caves of Lascaux in France. This unusual residential design comes clad in charred cedar boards, and surrounded by 1,825m2 of landscaped property, sculptural plants and a spring-fed stream.

Much of a Japanese home's beauty comes from it's timberframe carpentry and the natural materials used in construction. Japanese interior design, then, is not about "adding" extra items to the room. Instead, the goal is to minimize distractions and to allow the graceful beauty of the building, itself, to shine.

Japan Modern Architecture

Japan Modern Architecture designed by Nakayama Architects, located in Sapporo, Japan.
With the objective to make the most of every inch, the house architecture is a simple box, but that’s as far as simplicity goes in this elaborate design. From the weathered, rust-colored exterior to the artistic interiors, the home’s mature presence makes its way indoors through carefully contemplated finishes. Unassuming perforated walls cast a spectacular sun-lit pattern reminiscent of detailed delicate filigree work.
Exposed beams stretch from wall to wall, while a wonderful staircase makes its way from level to level. This ambitious architecture aimed to create true privacy for residents, and as a result the architects planned the house so as to maximize the area between private and public living spaces. The result is a floor plan that puts the two bedrooms and bathroom on one level, and the living room, dining room, kitchen and workroom on another.

Ring House Design in Tokyo by TNA Architects

Japanese based architects, Takei-Nabeshima as part of TNA Architects has design a country house in northwest of Tokyo called Ring House. The house is wrapped in rings of glass and wood and has an beautiful uninterrupted 360 view of the forest. TNA Architects designed rings around the facade so that areas of private spaces and utilities could be met.
The height of each ring was decided by the function concealed behind it. The glass between the rings allow you to look straight into the forest, so the whole house appears to dissolve into the forest.

Minimalist Japanese House Design in Hiroshima by Architects Keisuke Kawaguchi

This is minimalist Japanese House located Jinsekikogencho Hiroshima. The architects,Keisuke Kawaguchi design this house only in 6982 square feet area and just have 457 square feet total floor area. Despite of this minimal space, this house looks beautiful with natural and mountain view.

Japanese Aluminium House in Kanazawa City by Atelier Tekuto

Japanese practice Atelier Tekuto has completed this aluminium-framed private residence in Kanazawa City, western Japan. Unlike previous wooden-framed housing by this practice, this house utlises an aluminium facade with an aluminium structure.Solar passive energy heats the property in the winter, although the deep eaves of the roof preventing overheating from the high summer sun.Geothermal energy is also harnessed from the site, along with aluminium rings collecting energy from the sun; these act as radiators when necessary.Other sustainable features include full LED lighting, a ‘green-roof’ system, rainwater harvesting and solar panels for water heating.
