With the objective to make the most of every inch, the house architecture is a simple box, but that’s as far as simplicity goes in this elaborate design. From the weathered, rust-colored exterior to the artistic interiors, the home’s mature presence makes its way indoors through carefully contemplated finishes. Unassuming perforated walls cast a spectacular sun-lit pattern reminiscent of detailed delicate filigree work.

Exposed beams stretch from wall to wall, while a wonderful staircase makes its way from level to level. This ambitious architecture aimed to create true privacy for residents, and as a result the architects planned the house so as to maximize the area between private and public living spaces. The result is a floor plan that puts the two bedrooms and bathroom on one level, and the living room, dining room, kitchen and workroom on another.

The design of Taichung convention center is conceived as a continuous weave of architecture and landscape that blurs the boundary between architecture, public space and urban landscape, proposing a futuristic vision based on the East’s naturalistic philosophy. This project inherits Chinese architecture’s long standing attitude towards holistic integration and order of space. The city of Taichung requires a metropolitan landmark that goes beyond the local to renew urban life and redefine the cultural landscape of the city, that, through unique architectural concepts and proposing a new kind of architectural philosophy, launch Taichung into the arena of world class cultural cites. The site for this project is inherently characterized by an energy rich landscape.

Dubbed as Lanserhofwiese’ project, the residential colony by the Austrian architects Wimmer Zaic Architects covers an area of 74 000 sqm. Various buildings maintain a respectable distance marked by free spaces of ways. The buildings follow a distinctive pattern wherein after every three stories, the next seems to do some trickery in extending out of the normal order.

    Denise Brown 1966
Learning from las vegas Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown's infamous book which overturned the barriers separating high architecture from the commercial architecture of the Strip. Since it was first published in 1972, it has become a classic in the theory of architecture, and one of the most influential architectural texts of the twentieth century.
Las Vegas Studio presents for the first time these significant photographs in large color reproductions. The numerous pictures and films the architects shot during their research in 1968 are a crucial aspect of their architectural study, which relies heavily on these images as the foundation of their ideas.

Architectural Design of Urban Building in Liverpool by Alison Brooks Architects
Architectural Design of Urban Building in Liverpool
This buildings architecture will provide 93 apartments and commercial space on the ground floor (street level), designed by Alison Brooks Architects. The design follows the Liverpool’s gothic architectural tradition, will cluster around an existing bridal shop, blending with the existing Wedding Shop. This three urban buildings are due for finishing point in 2016. Design for the Tribeca development located on the corner of Great George Street and St James Street, UK.
Property Developer Urban Splash invited four architects to work with them on the project: Liverpool’s shedkm, London based Alison Brooks Architects, Riches Hawley Mikhail, and Austrian practice querkraft. The site forms three distinct triangles, so Urban Splash put the phrase together ‘Triangles Beneath Cathedral’ to create Tri-be-ca, Tribeca. ABA’s scheme has been conceived as a contemporary addition to the sandstone architecture of Liverpool, a 21st century gothic. The team were inspired by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott’s nearby Anglican Cathedral, consecrated in 1924, and the city’s monumental stone civic buildings. Their architecture expresses solidity and permanence qualities which ABA feel are essential for new urban neighbourhoods. The faceted forms of ABA’s three buildings and their elongated fenestration is intended to relate to both the Gothic articulation of the Wedding Shop on the site, as well as the dramatic verticality of the nearby Cathedral. Within the windows are vertical strips of coloured glass reminiscent of the beautiful stained glass windows that enliven the sandstone interior of St George’s.
